So when I was a kid and we were building hot rods, we would buy Mexican blankets at the local street markets. They were light but strung great. We threw them on the seats as seat covers and painted them. After 20 years I'm creating another project and wanted to touch something old school. I bought this blanket and my upholsterer trimmed it to make a scooter seat cover. These are skinny! First we glued it to the base material and still had some problems. They seem to be of decent quality but not as densely packed as I recall. In the end everything went well. If you're using them on a quilt I'm sure they'll be fine, just be careful not to damage the ends or snag anything as they will unravel right away!
