So I bought it without having a dog. Why? My neighbor has a huge, barely trained, year-old German shepherd who won't listen to anyone. As I weighed my options for getting his attention when he broke through the fence again, I figured this was the most humane way. I can't enter my backyard without him pretending to eat me when he comes through the fence. So far I've only used it once. He immediately stopped barking and sat on his side of the fence as if he had no idea what he was hearing. So far, so good. I know it's not a permanent fix, but if he keeps responding well I'll buy one for my neighbor too. I value the friendship with my neighbor so I'm really trying to find a humane way to deal with this huge pup. The product arrived quickly, was well packaged.
