I have never worn a kimono/hakama. The material for this product is very good. Not as thick as my jiu-jitsu kimono (similar) which I consider a plus if you plan on wearing it all day. Because someone mentioned in the review that it's thin. I think it's perfect and comfortable enough for a fancy dress party or party. My suit is a size 42 but the average size 38-40 for this outfit is spot on due to the style of the robe. Looks authentic but I reckon real ones will cost more than $100. However, I am very happy with this product for what I will be using it for. I'll probably take another one.
