Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Immerse Yourself in Realistic Racing with THRUSTMASTER TMX Force Feedback Racing Wheel (XBOX Series X/S, XOne & Windows) by Bong Cha แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

There was a TX before it, a higher class steering wheel, but it broke, which is unfortunately typical of the TX-T300. There was a question of a new steering wheel for the Xbox. I bought a TMH at a discount for 12k and in general itโ€™s quite the steering wheel, but still the gear (or hybrid) drive is 10-15 years old technologies, and the feedback power here is weak. And to compare with the T300, TX does not even make sense. But TX is a fragile thing, but TMH, although a tractor, seems to be more reliable, although in many ways it resembles the ancient DFGT? G25 for feedback quality

Pros
  • A good steering wheel of the middle price category, it will not give anything supernatural in terms of feedback, and is comparable to the Logitech G29, but cheaper and better IMHO. The issue of reliability for trustmasters of recent years is a sick one, but TMH, unlike TX, has not yet failed and has been working properly for about a year. If you do not compare with the older Trustmasters, then everything in it is good, well, except for the lack of a shifter and a third pedal. When compared with the TX Ferrari, then, oddly enough, the paddle shifters are more pleasant and comfortable, the steering wheel is round without a cut from the bottom, which you donโ€™t like. And in general, the steering wheel is prettier than the Ferrari 458, the buttons are more convenient, and the steering wheel is not removable, which is why it will not spontaneously unscrew as on the T300 or TX. The main plus is that he lived for a year and did not break, although I do not promise. The pedals here, by the way, are a little more resistant to tipping over than on the early TX The fasteners at the TX were with a metal clamp, but here itโ€™s just such a plastic tongue, itโ€™s more convenient.
Cons
  • It was clear that this was a junior model compared to the TX and the feedback would be simpler here, but there was hope for a miracle. Moreover, some reviewers wrote that "the difference is minimal" In fact, the difference in accuracy and information content of the feedback is huge, and compared to the TX, it's just a tractor. And if in some Forza motorsport, the feedback and physics are initially poor and the difference between a good steering wheel and an ordinary one is not particularly noticeable. Then in Assetto Corse on the xbox between TX and TMH is just an abyss. And the first time is a shock. You do not feel the car, and you steer like a steamer, purely at random. And it's not about setting up feedback in the game itself, it's just that TMX gives 60% less information and accuracy than TX. Hence the feeling of a tractor. However, this feeling of a tractor is quite comparable with any Logitech and is no worse. Then you get used to it and it's normal, but the fact that TX against TMH is like a sports sedan against Zhiguli is a fact. Otherwise, I did not find any special minuses in TMH.
