I bought this to replace my old Moen 8" shower head which I thought was clogged. After disassembling the old shower head, I found that it was a defective diverter. After receiving a replacement switch from a hardware store, the old moen was tested for the quality of the new one. I thought about returning this but was tempted to try a bigger shower. So I installed this new shower head and showered back to back. Surprise! Not only is the area larger in diameter, the flow seems stronger and feels a lot better - the downside for some people might be that it uses more water, but that doesn't bother me at all. This new shower head simply blows off an 8 inch moen. A few people have mentioned that this showerhead is heavy, but it's not heavy at all! I think the weight is perfect for its (metal) material and construction - it's not as thin as my old plastic Moen shower head! I also like how smooth the hinge is. See how smooth the swivel is. I wonder if the swivel will loosen if I rotate it too many times. If it comes loose after a while I will definitely come back to lower my rating. But now it deserves 5 stars and I love it!
