I bought it a year ago and haven't put it down since. Whispers softly and keeps my closet dry well. I can't hear it 5 feet away from my bed. The only reason I give it 4/5 is because 1: The black plastic stopper on the water reservoir keeps my fingers dirty. I've tried wiping and cleaning it but it leaves everything greasy like black soot. 2: My unit just stopped working last week, literally lasted a year and worked 24/7. I'm guessing it's the motor since the light works but the motor doesn't. I am getting a replacement as I still really like this product. It's definitely small, but perfect for a small space or near where you can sleep. I usually need to empty mine once a week (wet and rainy Hawaii at 80-100% humidity), but that probably depends on how humid you are.
