Review on 🎙️ Sony ICD-SX712 Digital Voice Recorder with Flash Memory by Matthias Foxx

First of all I will not give a detailed review of the performance and features of the Sony ICD-SX712 Digital Recorder as I have read some other reviews which very accurately reflect its many features. impressive properties. I had three identical Sony DVRs and unfortunately two of them ended up in the trash. WHY? . With the first two modules I started to have serious, even fatal problems. Both showed the same performance after the failure. They "initialized" at power on and then went back to the beginning of the "boot" sequence and repeated this process over and over without completing the power on process. My first two modules did essentially the same thing. and finally describe purely technically. "You bit the dust." I tried many things to make it work, but nothing worked. Let me just say that I think I'm quite technically competent, have a background in physics and have worked with 'prototype instruments'; So I think I'm qualified enough to determine if these devices could have been salvaged. I have not attempted to send them in for inspection." repairs because they are out of warranty and my past repair experiences have shown that the cost of repairs is prohibitive, at least for me. That said, so far it's working fine, but the fact that I having the same fatal problems with my first two units made me very frustrated with those units.Personally I think it was a microprocessor problem and both of my recorders are subject to the same "failures".
