Improved my Monarchy Game BIG TIME Case - AWESOME

I just LOVE this case. This was a game changer for my monarch season. I used to have one of those "insect knowledge" pens that open from the top. It's so awkward. I will never buy a case without a side opening like this Restcloud case again. I had a great season. I've raised and released many healthy monarch butterflies (although I've still upset them) with very little loss. The aviary is large and quite high. There you can easily put euphorbias in a pot, although I haven't done this - I delivered fresh cuttings daily in plastic cups with lids (mostly from Panera). hanging from the roof - if they fall, it's going to be a really long, hard fall. However, they are all securely connected to the mesh roof and I haven't had any falls. There is a transparent wall to see through. I wouldn't put 1st and 2nd instar caterpillars in there - they could crawl through the mesh and those little walkers are easy to lose - I've kept these little ones in plastic feeders. The double zip works great, never had a problem closing. Unfortunately I accidentally "zipped up" one of my tracks which decided to zip off - these guys LOVE zips for some reason. After that I learned my lesson and always checked the zipper before opening the case. I've heard there are some fancier cases that have a zippered shield to prevent this (obviously common) occurrence. By the way, the guy I buttoned up was fine - he had a tiny scar - but he buttoned up and flew away. The mesh sides are a little hard to see through - I've heard there are black mesh guards for better visibility. The only problem with this habitat is that it's tipping over. I originally had it on my tray (mine was bad) and my daughter accidentally knocked it over. What a mess! Luckily we had (almost) no casualties and then I moved him to a more stable place. Although many advise against it, I keep all my caterpillars and butterflies together in one aviary. So if I want to get it outside to release, I have to get the cups out first, otherwise they'll fall over right away. It's okay if you know what you're doing. Another thing you can do - in fact I'll do that next year - is put some kind of heavy cardboard or tray in or under the case, which will make it more stable when you lift and move it. great case at a great price. Highly recommended.
