Review on πŸŽ’ Deuter Aircontact Hiking Mountaineering Backpack by Dre Fishburne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect - just a Gripe

Good yes, but why isn't there a water hose loop (see picture) on the right side, only on the left shoulder strap? Now I have to glue my tube in there or add a noise clip, not happy. After years of drinking H2O on the right side, you can't go left! However, I have tried backpacks from other manufacturers and always fall back on Deuter, this Augsburger has taken care of everything (without my sling, eye rolls). The new slanted hip fins are awesome! I wish I had had that mother on my back when I did the 525 miles of the Camino del Norte last year (I had a 15 year old Deuter 35L instead that still hasn't retired!) Next week I picked up mine new Deuter Aircontact while hiking in the North Heights. Way from Winchester to Canterbury in the UK - hopefully it snows like the Wall, Jon Snow, Deiter is coming!

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Useless features
