Too good to be true

Do not buy this item. I bought it and it doesn't work. It's a bunch of lies wrapped in a shiny package. 1) It claims that you can plug it into the Wii remote to charge it. While it's possible, it's a headache** to get it working. 2) Batteries didn't work. The red charging indicator lights up for a minute or two and then turns blue. Stupidly I thought they were preinstalled. I put it in the Wii Remote+, it works maybe 2-5 minutes before it shuts down and doesn't work unless you give it another minute or two to charge. Now for the bad sides of the topic in general. The battery is about 700 mAh. They reportedly last 10 hours on a 2.5 hour charge. While this may be good for the casual gamer, it's not so good for those who play more frequently. In my opinion? Don't waste $10 on this product. You will get two packages, each of which may or may not work for 10 hours. Instead, after spending about $5, buy a pre-charged Duracell battery charger with 4 AA batteries included. yes it costs more But the included AA batteries have a capacity of more than 2000 mAh. What does that mean? I will tell you. I have had this charger and four batteries for a year now. It ran consistently for about 30 hours of gameplay. There may be some variability depending on whether you use a lot of motion controls, etc. But they WORK. You have never let me down. They keep a charge for a day. I can put in two fresh batteries, charge the dead ones for 6 hours, and then leave them on the shelf for a week or two. Place them in the console when the others are dead and they're ready to go. If you play with multiple remotes, you can buy 4 more of the same AA for only $10 without a charger.
