Let me start by saying that I have the following in my house.3 iPad (1 iPad 3, 2 iPad Mini with Retina)3 iPhone (2 iPhone 4s, 1 iPhone 5s)1 Samsung Galaxy S4 Of course I have chargers and cables everywhere in my kitchen. I replaced an outlet that was completely clogged with chargers with this USB hub. It was very easy to install, even for a novice home renovator. It was like replacing an ordinary outlet. What's nice is that you can charge all the devices I mentioned above (max 4 of them, not all 7 at the same time, there aren't enough ports). It doesn't matter which or in what order you connect them. The socket itself contains a microchip that recognizes the connected device and applies the correct amplifiers accordingly. This is the only USB charger I have found that can charge my Galaxy S4 at the same speed as the OEM charger that came with the phone. And charge, for example, 3 iPads or 2 iPhones and 1 iPad at the same time. etc. It was totally worth the money for my family, but not everyone can have an extra outlet or need to charge as many devices as we do. Instead, there's a combo version with 2 USB/AC ports for that person. I chose the Leviton brand because all of my outlets are made by them in my house and have been of the highest quality in my experience.
