Review on Berliner Bags Utrecht Backpack Rucksack by Amy Riley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice German city travel backpack

I bought Utrecht from Berliners Bags and it's a nice bag made of very thick high quality leather. In comparison, the quality/feel of both the leather and construction are comparable to those used in Frye bags and boots. Bought XL. At 5ft 5in it's a bit big for me, but I wanted the pack to have a thinner profile (so I wouldn't tip over things or people when I flip it) and still have room for the pack. jacket and essentials. The backpack is not designed for real hiking or backpacking as it does not have enough padding or support to be comfortable on a long hike. Perfect for a hipster on the Berlin U-Bahn, but not for a climber in the Alps. .The interior is carefully designed for those who want to stay organized and carry a laptop and stationery, like a student or a writer. The only downside I see is that the water bottle has to be in an outside zippered pocket or in the main body. Not very practical, but not in the way either. Other reviewers said that the skin is very dry. Mine was thirsty too and she loves it and will be wandering around with this pack for the next 30 years. Hopefully some of our adventures will take place in Berlin.
