These storage stools were a great and economical choice for my living room. The thick sides of the top tray are perfect for storing magazines or collecting food crumbs. With the leather side up, they offer extra space when friends arrive. The tray's short sides have both leather and cut-out handles that make it easy to lift the lid, whichever side is up. However, there are a few things that keep me from giving 5 stars. First, the descriptions/photos are of poor quality. I've spent most of my shopping time worrying about which color to go for as other reviews have indicated that the color descriptions/pictures/actual appearance don't necessarily match. I ended up buying the color listed as "grey" which looked brown in the picture. In reality I would call it drab and I'm fine with that. Be sure to read the color descriptions/images carefully before ordering. If possible, you should also read reviews related to the color you intend to buy. The second "criticism" is that I didn't know if it was leather or leather at the time of purchase (although I had a hunch given the low price). I don't care, so it didn't stop me, but folks who get carried away one way or another might be bothered by the lack of specific information in the description. In fact they are leather, the tag below says the outside is 100% polyurethane. They look good in real life, like leather, time will tell how they hold up to bumps and scratches (I've had them that good for 5 months).
