My puppies like to stick their heads out the window when I'm driving so I bought this to protect their eyes. I also have a dog who is sun sensitive and gets watery eyes when it's very sunny outside. At first, one of my puppies hated sunglasses and quickly rubbed his head on the ground to take them off. But over time he got used to it and now he doesn't take off anymore. Maybe he got tired of fighting me for wearing them, or maybe his little older sister influenced him. If your dog refuses to wear them on the first try, I would definitely suggest persevering and giving him time to get used to them. I mean it must be very strange for a dog to wear sunglasses. The glasses work fine. They are just too big for one of my dogs and tend to slide down their face. Which I spent the extra money to buy her a signature pair of Doggles for. The strap on the doggles fitted much better, but the doggles body was small and seemed to be stuck to her face. Doggles' lenses were also translucent pink, so I could see how uncomfortable they were for her eyes. She was the one who gave me no trouble wearing glasses, but she didn't like the doggles at all and immediately started rubbing her face on the floor to take them off. After purchasing Doggles I would suggest saving money and getting these sunglasses. They are quite affordable at $11. I like the darker lenses and larger frame of these sunglasses. I find it offers better protection and looks cooler. Doggles were like goggles. I may do a little more searching to see what other styles are out there but so far these have been the most comfortable for my dogs. Otherwise they serve a purpose. They appear to be well made and clean easily with mild soap and water. It should be noted that the lens is easily scratched. But to be honest I'm a bit rough with them. My dogs get very excited when we arrive at our destination and practically jump out of the car seat, so I usually just throw away their sunglasses and toss them in the back seat. case would be perfect. I love that it has a chin strap that helps keep it in place. When buying sunglasses, make sure they have a chin strap so they don't fall off. I also love the smiles and laughter from other drivers when they see my little puppies with their glasses on. Laughter is the best medicine. Grateful for the opportunity to bring some joy to others. I'm attaching a video of my dog (who initially refused to wear sunglasses) acting like a movie star on his way to his movie premiere. Apparently I'm just a driver. Lol I am also attaching a photo of both dogs wearing sunglasses. With a small dog, you can see that the glasses are not centered and slip because the band is too big. I think I'll try sewing the straps back an inch so they fit better.
