My 10 year old KitchenAid dishwasher started to malfunction badly and didn't seem to clean the dishes properly. I followed the directions on the bottle and just poured a few ounces into the bottom of the dishwasher and into the detergent door. I didn't want to overdo it with the de-funk so it would clog the drains. After the first use it got a lot better and the smell got a lot better. After a few regular rinses in between, I decided to try again with more Defunk. The second time around, the results were even better! Inside, the dishwasher shone a little better, and the smell was completely gone and never came back.
