Recommended. Image quality is not affected by the case which is good and yes it is definitely waterproof! The only downsides are that the cable is a bit short, it's difficult to press the screen underwater so I've only used the side button or hand gestures to take photos, and finally if it's really hot outside you might have to wait, until you are in the air-conditioned room to remove the cover, otherwise it will be very difficult to take it off.
