Just in case, I bought one size larger. My daughter is 4 and I bought a size 5. It's too big for her neck, so she's wearing a lightweight tank top underneath for now. It will grow into it and eventually wear out more if that's the case. This shirt is well made. She loves the butterfly and how it can change color. For the price, this shirt looks more expensive than it actually is. I wash it as directed and have had no problems with it shrinking.
