I have ordered 3" and 4" gold candles and would definitely recommend the larger set as they are much more impressive. However, I also ordered different gold candles (Mirrowing set of 5) and I love them much more (very realistic look, hidden flame and real gold color) so I'm sending them back. GOOD - (6) AA batteries included, excellent packaging, remote works for all 4 sets I received, gold looks better than regular ivory candles, black wick feels good BAD - gold set still looks as would Fake candles don't shine brightly than another brand of candles I went with. So if I couldn't find another set of gold candles, I'd probably keep the 4" and just return the 3".
