Review on Plantronics Explorer 500: Sleek Black Bluetooth Headset, Model 203621-05 by Adam Sterlinski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, not disappointed.

I took it as a replacement for the M25, the old man just started to piss me off, the battery stopped holding normally, I had to charge it every 3 days, before that it was enough for 5, even the range almost didn’t take, sometimes it disappeared even when in my pocket and the quality of work was constantly interrupted. In general, I was afraid to take a voadger, because. I was afraid that he would not justify himself in time, but there was swearing at him, so the choice fell on the explorer. Most of all, I was struck by the range, for the first time I used a headset that extends the phone-headset distance at a level 1) a telephone on the second floor of a country house, I am 8m diagonally from it and everything is super, I was pleasantly surprised! 2) In the apartment, through 2 walls (bedroom - toilet / kitchen) he was still catching! Of course, during calls, the connection is already interrupted sometimes, or rather, there are just short breaks, but A2DP works with 85% success In general, the range simply smoothed out all the other shortcomings, previously using any other headsets, I experienced problems within the room and the next one, but here everything is super. About autonomy - this is a pain, with my use there is not even 6 hours, and this is 1-2 days. Fortunately, charging is very fast! Otherwise, everything is ok, with a laptop via BT on poppies, the headset is useless, only suitable for A2DP, everything is ok with the phone, the recording is really a little worse than through a couple of built-in microphones (I made a comparison while traveling in a car and just talking while sitting on a chair), not I know why so (I have LG G3). It is extremely unpleasant to make redail and reset calls, the tight movement of the button on the headset hurts the ear. In the same M25, this was not even observed

Pros
  • Amazing range As comfortable as the rest of Plantronics or just as comfortable! Packaging quality Sufficiency of a complete set (lanyard, instructions, auxiliary software) really working multipoint (and not just declared)
Cons
  • Hard press of the headset button, constantly presses into the ear while pressing Autonomy (see comment) Lack of sound improvement compared to low-end models
