This camera has been awarded "Best Buy" by a prestigious consumer magazine. After only a few hours of use I returned it and bought a different brand of camera. The three main complaints are: - "tons" of image distortion - software - USB port. The images showed excessive "toning" distortion of the image. That is, straight lines appear to be curved. This was most noticeable at the edge of the image. I am very disappointed that Consumer Reports magazine did not mention this feature. I downloaded the included Easy Share software onto my computer according to the instructions. Apparently this is needed to take photos from the camera to the computer. I was never able to get it (Of course, this wasn't a problem camera per se.) My previous camera (Olympus) was a plug and play camera that acted almost like another hard drive in my computer, without that additional software was required. The USB cable The connector was very tight in the camera socket. When removing the cable, I had to wiggle and pull to disconnect the cable. Maybe it just has to be it was "break in", but I'm sure after a few connections and disconnections it just "broke". added to a disappointing purchase. I returned the camera for a refund.
