My (almost six years old) old) daughter loves these shoes! While we bought them more for dressing and fun purposes, she actually wore them to church a few times and to proms too. The fit is true to size and she says they are actually quite comfortable. Make sure you get them on the pavement first to give them a little rub as they are really slippery out of the box. The best thing about this shoe is the closure. Instead of a traditional shoe buckle, there is a silver buckle with a rubber band (see photo). This closure gives the upper of the shoe some flexibility and comfort, making it easy for my (very independent) daughter to close her shoes herself! :)
