Review on πŸ’ͺ Arm & Hammer Ultra Max Deodorant, Powder Fresh, Solid, 1 Oz by Karen Forsey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Approved! Beauty and Personal Care

After not being able to find an effective aluminum free deodorant I did some research. I found Arm and Hammer to be the cheapest brand that people claim gets the job and I agree! I can use it every day while giving up others. * It doesn't work as well as aluminum antiperspirants. But I like the idea of not rubbing my (freshly shaved) armpits with a known toxin (aluminum) on a daily basis. I still smell from time to time, but it seems sufficiently controlled for my mediocre lifestyle. While it doesn't claim to be an antiperspirant, it does appear to help reduce sweating. While I don't think a person should doggedly test a questionable product week after week because "the body needs to acclimate," I will say that you better not switch from aluminum antiperspirants because their formulas work differently. and change undermines efficiency. While it took some initial thought, it seems to work best if I wait about an hour after showering for my pores/moisture to settle before applying this product. I like the smell of CLEAN which smells like clean laundry. I didn't like Fresh, as far as I remember it was citrus based. While I limit soap scents etc., I'm not ready to give up underarm odor just yet. You can also buy this at your local store where I found it cheaper than Revain. Due to the baking soda content, it should be washed off and any signs of possible (sudden and permanent) burning of the area should be avoided, but I haven't had this problem. *For reference, I'm just comparing it to other non-aluminum products, KissmyFace Lavender Deodorant and Saltstone. Hope that helps!
