For a matte wallpaper, this is amazing reflectivity. If you have never used such wallpaper, you should know that they are much thinner than ordinary wallpaper. In fact, it is contact paper, as you know it from shelves and drawers. It's a bit thicker than regular contact paper, but its adhesive releases slightly better from walls. The ability to remove it easily without damaging walls makes it a good option for renters and homeowners alike. This is very similar to the adhesive-backed vinyl used in machines like Cricut or Silhouette. It's pretty easy to apply once you know how. When you unfold it, creases will most likely appear on it. The best you can do is lay it flat and then use a vinyl tool to gently try to scrape the creases and then press it down and leave books or something with some weight on it for a few hours, to smooth it out nicely. Paper, it can stretch if you pull on it. So when you apply it, you just need to peel off a little from the backing to stick the edge, and then push it back a little when you put it on the wall and smooth it with the tool. This way the backing supports the paper so you don't pull hard and potentially stretch and deform it before it sticks to the wall (or surface). If you do it this way you will likely end up with a good app with minimal problems/problems. I was able to put it on my wall as an accent and it looks great and it still doesn't show any dents or creases although there were quite a few when I unrolled it. I like the textured look as I think it adds a lot of visual interest, but I can't imagine using this for an entire wall. Even if you use it as an accent, be aware that it has a metallic hue that will fade during processing and application. You need to wipe it thoroughly with a damp cloth after putting it back in order to remove it. This metallic residue and lots of creases on the reel was the reason I gave it a lower rating. This took longer to install and made it messy as I had to constantly dry my hands. It was more of an installation job than other wallpapers like this one that I've used elsewhere in my home. However, what I have installed I like how it looks.
