Inexpensive, comfortable headphones with good sound

I'm always looking for headphones (IEM) headphones that are not too expensive and sound good for travel or for school children. Losing a $20 pair of headphones doesn't hurt like losing a high-end pair of Klipsch headphones. Design and Construction The RM-569 comes in a beautiful wooden case with a magnetic lid, which gives me a premium feeling right away. The headphones themselves are well made. There is a metal disk at the end of the plastic housing of the headphones. The total cable length is 1.2 m or 3.9 ft. The Y-shaped part of the cable that goes to each earbud is only about 0.3 m long. The cable is made of a soft, rubbery material that can be easily twisted without breaking. The earbuds are small and the medium tips fit comfortably in my ear. They are quite light, so they sit very well in the ears. The headphones only have one button control. It works well with my Mac and iPhone and follows the protocol of one click to play/pause, double click to go to the next track and triple click to go to the previous track. Sound Quality These headphones sound good for the price. Driver 9mm. The bass is natural, not amplified. If you like jazz or acoustic rock this is perfect. If you like EDM, you need more bass to keep you satisfied. The soundstage is very good. They reveal enough detail and depth to make listening enjoyable. The only issue I agree with is that higher pitched vocals like female voices tend to be harsh. Even after about 24 hours of warming up, they are still a bit stiff. It's not so bad that it's unbearable, but I can feel it. Pros* Price, performance for the money is good* Build quality, feels like a high-end product* Natural bass, which is important if you like jazz and more acoustic music* Very comfortable to wear for long periods Cons* Some harsh vocals* No volume control

Pros
  • Very good headphones
Cons
  • Inconvenient
