I'm embarrassed to say I went through 4 ring lights but. I went through 4 RING LIGHTS. At first I thought a ring lamp was just a ring lamp and I was wrong. Not all are created equal. However, this zomei is definitely my favorite for many reasons, but I will list a few. Compared to the ring light I used previously (Neewer), the Zomei is much lighter but noticeably more durable. From the stand to the light itself, nothing is flimsy. Assembly was as easy as 123. Simple. This baby was made so well I am very impressed. The width of the canopy is thinner than my Neewer which I think looks better. The bulky Neewer ring light on such a thin base is one of the reasons I tried 4 ring lights. LED bulbs are always a plus. Today I photographed with my light for about 4 hours at a time and didn't break a sweat! Now my favorite part of this light is the color temperature control. This part convinced me! My other lights had small interfering plastic panels that I would have to remove and reattach if I wanted a warmer temperature. Colour. talk about wasting time. This light has a built in button that changes the temperature. color and dimmer. I just wish the included carry case had a padded interior for extra security and a carry case on top of the stand. The stand folds up quite compactly, but a case would be perfect! Anyway, I love this light so far. I use my flashlights almost every day so finding a good one is very important to me and I think this will be my last purchase. Oh, and I forgot to mention that you have a tripod head, which I never use because I'm more comfortable with my camera on a separate tripod and a phone clamp, which I'll be happy to try when I go live or something.
