Although I got the round cotton pads in the shower, I chose bamboo pads for daytime use because of the tapered shape and thinness. I was also impressed that the product was made from bamboo and organic cotton right here in the USA. I've been using it for a few weeks now and love the understated design. It's like the difference between wearing ultra thin panty liners and big old school panty liners - bamboo panty liners don't make it look like you're wearing saucers on your chest like other types of panty liners do! I wear them under fabric t-shirts with no visible lines. The heart shape helps contour the padding on the chest instead of flattening it. The lining is soft and absorbent, won't stick to the breast like cotton when the milk dries up. The pads seem to do well in the washer and dryer. I'm glad I treated myself to the higher price as I'm a moderate boozer and need pads for everyday use. There are a couple of things that made me give it a 4 star rating. The shape ensures a snug fit if you have the luxury of placing it properly, ie with two hands, in the privacy of your own home, perhaps in front of a mirror. As they are shaped differently they require a little more deliberate positioning which can be learned but in public it is difficult at first with one hand when the baby is crying etc. I have noticed a slight curl under the edges after washing, this seems to resolve itself with the accommodation. A friend gave me a pair of old bamboo sneakers that don't wash in my laundry. Also, bamboo pads don't seem to hold as much liquid as other cloth pads, but I haven't exceeded their capacity and I've never had to change them more than once a day. There's a synthetic layer that prevents seepage, so you'll notice moisture and be careful to replace them when they feel wet. All in all, these are amazing pads that let you wear regular clothes with confidence. As I told my husband the purchase price is nothing compared to buying nursing clothes to hide bulky pads or leaks!
