The style of this dress is as good as I have read in other reviews. It's a style that works for everyone - skinny, overweight or average. It's very long and at 5ft 6in I have to wear a heel (at least 1 inch) to keep it off the ground. My only change has to do with the huge overly flowy sides making me look a little fat around the waist. To balance this appearance, I chose to sew a button on each side of the gathered material to reduce the appearance of a large waist. It turned out beautiful! I added a button to the folded material just above the pocket and it looks like it's part of the design. The material now hangs perfectly straight down the sides without that extra heavy fullness, giving me a slimmer look. I'm only 155 pounds, my bust is 38C, so I'm pretty average in every way, but I found the extra bulkiness on the sides made me "heavy" as it took me five minutes to sew a button on each pocket added to trim the excess waist that was missing in this design. I decided to buy another of the same dress in a different color as I like the basic design. Their bright colors are really bright and beautiful, and the material is incredibly comfortable. I will wear these dresses to church and special occasions. No closures, just over the head, very soft and comfortable. The pockets are great despite the opinion of other reviewers as I am a pocket lover and like to put my hands in them. I didn't get a discount or freebie like my money did, so my opinion hasn't changed and is 100% sincere.
