First ordered a size up (XXL) but when I got the XL they were almost perfect. The material forgives cellulite. LOL I have osteoarthritis in both knees which keeps them swelling. I'm sure no one cares what they look like but I still take care of them and was glad I had such long lasting coverage at the water park and beach. For reference, I have a waist of about 36/37 inches, wide hips, thick thighs, and the swollen knees mentioned above. If they had a drawstring waist I would give 5 stars. I can ignore hem/knee bands that are too long with double or triple bands. If they wore these ties around their waists instead, they would be perfect. I've tried a few swim caps from other brands and overall they were the best. Looks great with tankini tops or rashguards.
