I bought this computer for HTPC after an old laptop I was using stopped working. I was a bit hesitant as I bought it from Amazon without any reviews, but I'm glad I did. Works perfectly. I'm using Vizio TV via monitor cable (the Vizio I'm using has all the HDMI used by other things, Xbox, Bluray etc) and I'm using it with HD Homerun and a straight antenna antenna. killer combo. HD sport without basic fee! You might chuckle when your co-workers tell you how much they're spending on the U-Verse. The graphics card handles the HD output without any problems (at least via the monitor cable). The Windows Media Center menus zoom in and out across the HD TV feed with no blur or gaps (my old HTPC couldn't handle that). I recommend plugging in an external hard drive and pulling recorded show files to free up space if needed, then pulling them back to watch later (I do this to record ALL free-to-air HD NFL that I can get my hands on). Keyboard and mouse range is also very good, I'd say 15ft easily - very comfortable for a couch. UPDATE 4/15/12 - This thing still works. Highly recommend this series of models for DVR. UPDATE 4/7/13 - Yes I'm still using the same HTPC and yes it still works great! Amazing when you think about it. Add one or three external drives to store all your movie files and recorded TV shows.
