These lights are unexpectedly the product I've always wanted for my desk, without even knowing it when I bought it. I've always defaulted to traditional RGB scrolling lights around my desk, but I've never been a big fan of the outline look and didn't like being stuck on one color. I wanted the light to reflect off the table top more than the side. This gave me exactly the look I wanted without having to mess with a whole bunch of lights and having to cut and place them all in weird ways. What I personally really like is that if you have several stripes, they don't always have to be the same color. I have a three monitor setup and often the middle monitor has a blue light bar and the two side monitors are set to red. If I then want to go back to the same color or one of the awesome preset patterns, it's as easy as pressing a button on the included remote control. They have the ideal brightness level for ambient lighting and I have found that white light is also a great substitute for a traditional table lamp. The colorful lights are perfect for a home gaming table, and the white decor makes them perfect for the office too. We will definitely buy more!
