The sound is good when listening to music and podcasts, audio books etc. The range seems decent. They come with different sized ear pads so you can swap them out to fit which is nice. But for any headphones that cost $100 or more, you should be able to use them for calls, and they should work just fine. In my experience, they're almost useless on that front. The audio is terrible and people can't hear you.
