Review on 🔐 Sabrent Locking Drives with Straight Cable by Scott Spoja

I used this cable when upgrading my MacBook Pro and my wife's hard drives (from HDD to SSD). It was just a gamble as I didn't know if I really needed a sled with a body and such, but the thing worked great! I don't want to bore you with the whole story, but my wife's hard drive failed (won't boot and I've tried everything to get it working, including reinstalling the OS a couple of times). So I reluctantly sent it to a data recovery place who charged me a HUGE amount of money for data extraction after determining it was logical corruption (rather than a physical disk issue). I told them no and they sent it back to me. In the meantime, I've decided to upgrade our Mac's drives since SSDs are more stable, and I bought this cable to do it. I figured it wouldn't hurt to connect her old hard drive with this cable and see if it read as an external drive (that way she wouldn't have to boot). Well it worked! I was able to move her entire user profile to the SSD. I still can't tell you why this drive won't boot, but this cable saved me a ton of money compared to what the data recovery company charged me arm and leg. The best part is that the profile migration went so smoothly as if nothing had changed except that the laptop runs faster with an SSD.
