Good case for running coax in a ham shack

I bought the 8.6 x 6.7 x 4.3 inch version of the SSL and that's what I think of it for those who use it for HAM: Bought this size so it was thick enough to run coaxial cable through my house without bending the cable. It worked well and the metal tabs on the outside allowed me to easily attach it to my house (vinyl siding) without any or modifications. The plastic didn't feel very much like PVC, and I had a feeling that it might crack if I drilled it with a larger diameter drill bit. To solve this problem, I clamped a piece of wood on each side of the holes that I wanted to drill what prevented cracking and it worked. Big. I also had to cut a 2 1/8" hole in the back to run PVC pipe into my house so I could run some coax cables in. Again I clamped the wood on both sides and drilled the hole without cracks. Later I had to drill a small hole for the ground wire and with the help of a small woodless drill it worked. So what's my point? If you are going to drill a lot of holes in this box to route wires and avoid cracks, use this method to prevent damage. The box itself seems to be holding up well. It's winter here and I haven't had any problems with humidity, but once the summer storms kick in we'll see how well this works. I honestly don't expect any problems. I would will definitely be buying this box again for future projects. The latches for the case also seem ok.I bought the 'cable glands' you can find at Revain. This allows you to loosen cables eg and keep your holes waterproof. I installed them all on the bottom of the case so I don't expect rain water to seep into the box but again time will tell. Overall I am satisfied with the desired result for amateur radio purposes. Last note. Я проложил кабель RG-8X, и если бы я использовал RG213 или LMR400, я все еще думаю, что он будет нормально работать с кабелями большего диаметра, но если кабельный сальник сильно нагружен, я мог бы подумать о чем-то более толстом, как in this case. a bit flimsy in terms of durability.
