This tape is so thin you can see through it. "Duct tape" seems to mean the same width as duct tape and no more. This is a thin material with a small amount of glue. I have rolls of washi tape that have the best adhesive properties. However, the glue sticks very well to the shiny side. If you unfold it you will see large patches of glue that have moved from the back of one layer to the front of the bottom layer (see photo). As you work your way to the innermost layer, more and more adhesive is transferred until about the last third, all the adhesive is on the glitter side and not the backing. I had to use double sided tape to finish my project. It's relatively easy to rub/remove, but it's a little tiring. The ribbon is very pretty and shiny but not worth the effort and not as versatile as I was hoping. I used to get glitter tape from 3M and Scotch and they were just as strong and durable as regular tape.
