We live in Tucson, Arizona, where the Dia de los Muertos parade draws over 100,000 people every year -- here's a link to learn more about it: [.]. For this parade, which honors loved ones who have departed, participants and many spectators follow the Mexican tradition of putting on skeleton make-up. [.]here's a look at one such made-up face.and one that shows the use of lots and lots of little black dots. Well.having done this last year with theatrical make-up, I can tell you it took hours to do my own and my husband's face, and of course in the course of the evening we wiped plenty of those dots off without even realizing it!This year, I planned ahead, and realized that if I could find 1/4" black dots, I could just cover our faces with white pancake makeup and do all the design work with press-on dots. I found these from Chromalabel, and the little dispenser box meant I could easily hold it in my hand while doing each of our faces. The dots are perfect!I'm sure the folks at Chromalabel didn't anticipate this use for their product, but I'm happy to say they worked beautifully, were easy to take off after the event, and left no 'gunk' on our skin. We couldn't be happier!
