This was the cheapest option I could find per unit at the time. They arrived unassembled as a set of two as advertised and after an extremely easy setup they hold all my spare computer cables and hardware very easily. The maximum weight I've put on them was around 140 pounds, and while I'm sure regular use at that weight will wear them down, it hasn't affected them so far. They provide a handy footstool, hold a pile of junk I wouldn't be able to store otherwise, and are great value compared to the competition. Most of the time, however, it's just fabric-covered boxes with a pretty pillow on top. I don't think you could make them any cheaper than what they sell because of the price of the batting, the fabric and the time it takes to try and match the quality of the lining they have. They're solid enough considering their material construction, and if you're looking for a footstool to put shit in, I say go for it. But I wouldn't recommend you to stand at the top.
