These shoes were bought for mountain biking and I originally ordered a size 9 but found them to be a little long to wear. So I ordered a size 8 and they felt a bit tight at first, but after walking around and doing a few rides they fit perfectly. I usually wear shoes 8.5. If your foot has a high arch, you most likely need an insole. The company offers an extra insert and an extra pair of laces, but the inserts are pretty basic. Overall, the shoes appear to be well made and my experience with them so far has been positive.
