Review on ViewSonic VG2456A 1920X1080 Monitor: Ergonomic Design, 60Hz, OSD, HDMI & HD Display by Kyle Graham

One star means my intended use only. The screen and picture quality is good. With RJ45 and "LAN function" I was hoping to detect a monitor connected via ethernet on a local network and use it as a monitor a little further away (kitchen TV) with minimal wiring. The RJ45 port has no explicit functionality, there is no input facility, and apparently it cannot be used independently of anything. Although the speakers have poor sound quality (according to other reviews before I decided to try it), I found it ok if you could hear them. You are not. At best they are quiet, at full volume. Inaudible due to minimal fan noise or white background noise in a room with other equipment/machinery/normal home cooking. The volume is about half that of a standard smartphone speaker.
