I bought a leather bound magazine and wanted a pencil case/pen to match. This pencil case not only fits but also holds many of the pens and pencils that I use. When I put my pencils or pens in this case, not only do they not fall out, but the tips are also protected. The strap on this one is fully adjustable. Inside, the strap holds my pens and pencils. If I want it to hold 2 or 3 at a time, all I have to do is pull the strap and put them in. To tighten them so they don't move I just pull the strap from the other side and it tightens the strap and prevents my pens and pencils from slipping out. When I fold it up, I just tuck the leather strap under the outer mount and it will never come loose. What I like about this bag is that I can store as few pens and pencils in it as possible and never have to worry about them falling out. This case fits in my backpack and no matter how I move it, it will never come undone or open. I was even able to put my graphite pencils and some colored pencils in and take them with me to draw. I like it when I can set and roll out the table. The case lies fairly flat, but even in the wind it stays on my desk as it's not too easy to get blown off. Not to mention that almost 3 weeks later, after extensive use of this case, none of the stitching has come undone and it still looks somewhat new.
