In my opinion not suitable for children.
I ordered 2 of these for my best friend. Girls as young as 6 wore them one day. The girls were not rude to them and did not wear them to school. They seemed to be busy. Both were broken by the end of the day. A small bead detached from both and immediately detached so we were unable to reattach it.
