This is key to make the mask work for different sized faces.

I want to draw a diagram of how I use these switches. I'll try to explain. First you'll need to sew the ends of the masks or, if you're making them yourself, apply material to create a narrow channel for the elastic to pass through. Then I take the barrette, not the invisible hairpin. and slide the needle over the elastic with the curved back of the needle facing you. The narrow ends of the pin fit snugly into the holes in the switch. Slide the pin through the latch, taking the elastic with you, and slide the latch down over the elastic. Pull the switch up and down to tighten/loosen the elastic. This makes your mask perfectly adaptable and comfortable. When I make masks for my family, I send extra buttons and a hair clip. With new variants of the virus, it's much safer to have a tight-fitting mask.

Pros
  • Cable locks
Cons
  • Not sure

Works great for masks - especially with kids masks.
