Review on Salomon Outline GTX Hiking Shoes by Mike Littlejohn

Supportive walking and hiking shoes

Supportive hiking and walking shoes that are suitable for both the trail and the street. I've ridden 500 miles in these shoes in a year or so. At the end of the year the upper was in great shape with no obvious signs of wear. Other reviewers have complained that the soles are worn, mine included. But going over a year and 500 miles without shoes is more than I expected. And I'm happy with the wear and tear on the outsole which prompted me to replace the shoe which still looks great after a year of use. Only criticism of this shoe is that it runs half a size smaller and narrower and the list price is a bit high. Finding these shoes for sale is not difficult.

Pros
  • The perfect companion for every trail
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for people who need a wider toe box.
