To be honest this cake stand is just gorgeous, the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is just the clasps on the sides are a bit difficult to close at times (although I'm relieved that the lid snaps tight) and because there's no real "lip" inside to sort of lull the cake in, so it tends to slide inside when traveling. For example, I was making a cheesecake, so there was a spring plate underneath my cake, but I'm pretty sure that would be the case if you also had a plate in the holder. It is good for storage and transport, but still needs to be handled with care.
