This is surprisingly good quality for the price - very durable and enough room for my 12D fenders! I think the sizing is indeed for men, but there's absolutely no reason women couldn't use it just as well, although it may be a bit large for the average woman's needs (I sold shoes in college and I say know the size difference). This product is excellent for keeping shoes dry and undamaged by salt. I wear a good pair of dress shoes, which are much warmer and more durable, and take them along with my usual dress shoes or even slippers when I go to a friend's house. I live in a country with snow and mud most of the year, so I know about these things!
