Sometimes old-fashioned is better than new-fashioned

I prefer flea collars to the drops my vet sells. They effectively keep fleas away from my pets and my home. Our domestic cats have been wearing anti-flea collars since I was a child, and this has in no way affected their health and longevity. The drops have caused skin problems for some of my cats and I am concerned that no matter how gently I apply correctly, they will choke on them. successful. They prevent fleas, which in turn prevent tapeworms. Some commenters say the collar isn't removable, but all the ones I've bought have a removable clasp under the buckle, and I know that works because kittens have come to me several times without a collar. Fortunately, they are both effective and inexpensive to replace. The reflective strip works well too and is handy for calling my cat with a flashlight when she's too busy to come down to dinner.

Pros
  • Kills and repels fleas and ticks for up to 7 months. Can be worn at the same time as a regular collar for your cat
Cons
  • No effectiveness
