UPDATE: after 5-6 uses my 13 month old has already figured out how to remove the lid from the bag. Now they are useless. What a disappointment! My child has just entered the classic toddler stage of everything, asserting independence and testing all boundaries. And suddenly my sweet daughter, who would love to swallow a bag of vegetables, suddenly found she could hold it and then cried out as I snatched it from her little hands. Because of this, I wanted to give up all the snack bags until I found this one. MY GOD. It's like a magic valve that keeps babies out. She pushed and pushed, but in the end she had to give up and just eat the pouch like she was supposed to. I'm VERY impressed and just bought a second set to give to another mom for Christmas!
