I bought them because I work in a place where a lot of chemicals are mixed with water. Before I bought these I bought many other goggles that claim to protect your eyes. But only these prevented water from getting into the eyes. When you put them on, they are almost completely closed at the top, preventing water from entering. Great purchase, I use them every day.
