Review on Wellness Complete Natural Food 30 Pound Dogs ~ Food by Chris Long

After extensive research on ingredients and brands in large breed puppy foods I was excited to try Wellness. We switched to this brand after going grain free for a month as our vet was concerned that "grain free food causes heart disease". We slowly switched between products over the course of a month, adding only 1/4 cup of wellness products to each meal for three weeks until we reached 75% wellness branded products. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, our dogs' bowel movements got worse every week when we introduced this food. To make sure it was food related, we went back to a 50/50 mix between the two brands and saw an immediate change in bowel movements. Along with soft poop, our dog seemed to get hungrier as we increased the amount of healthy food at each meal - even to the point where he tried to eat her poop (we didn't have this with any other food she ate ). is a 45 lbs, 4 month old German Shepherd mix and had all the food transition issues sorted out. I'm disappointed that this meal didn't seem to fill her up and caused such loose stools.
