Can't tell if it helps yet. Now I look at the design. The straps feel reworked, like a strap on a strap. Most of the strap is covered in soft neoprene, but I can't figure out why the velcro is sticking out at the end. At first I thought it was an expansion. It is not. The Velcro edges are very abrasive and got caught in about 7 places on my running leggings and damaged my trousers. The edges of the very thick strap also dig deeper into my skin than the gel portion, which is supposed to provide actual compression. I wear the 3rd day. My doctor recommended wearing it every day for several weeks. I don't like it yet.
