These fit perfectly around the waist and are soft and stretchy. I normally wear a 14/16 and the 16 in these fit well although I think the 14 would have been fine too. I don’t recommend these pants for tall women as I am 5’5” and the pants hit me right at the ankle. I don’t find these very flattering for my figure however. I have a mom pouch I try to hide with longer shirts so the waist would be fine but I feel like the material juts out around my hips/thighs and then gets too skinny down the legs and makes me look a little bigger and squatty. I’m sure a good pair of spanx would help the middle section. Made of good materials and are comfortable to wear, just not great for my body type.
